No action over Bradford Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara 'hate incident'

A Sikh holy book left in the grounds of a Gurdwara was not a "hate crime" but an attempt to deliver the sacred text to the building, police have said.
The Guru Granth Sahib Ji was found wrapped in cloth at the Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara in Bradford.
It sparked "huge concern" among the city's Sikhs, and was initially treated as a possible hate crime by police.
But the woman who left it there had been attempting to give the book to the community, West Yorkshire Police said.
She had obtained the text while clearing out the house of a deceased Sikh relative, according to the force.
No action is to be taken against the woman.
Sikhs always treat the Guru Granth Sahib Ji with reverence and regard it as a living Guru.
Det Ch Insp Gary Hooks said the force took all reports of hate crimes and incidents "seriously and each is investigated thoroughly".
