THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY FOR OHIO GOVERNOR
A new poll by WPA Intelligence of Ohio Republican Primary voters, conducted on behalf of Club for Growth PAC
January 28-30, 2025, shows that Vivek Ramaswamy has a commanding lead in the Republican primary for
Governor and that an endorsement from President Trump would propel him even further ahead.
Vivek Ramaswamy leads the Republican Primary for Governor over Dave Yost by 31 points.
• Ramaswamy is winning nearly three-in-five (57%) votes.
• Just over one-quarter (26%) of primary voters support Dave Yost and another 6% support Robert
Sprague.
• Ten percent are undecided.

Ramaswamy is winning key groups of Republican primary voters, including very conservative
primary voters and those with very favorable impressions of President Trump.
• Ramaswamy leads with 70% of the vote to 22% for Dave Yost among primary voters who say they are
very conservative.
• Ramaswamy leads with 66% of the vote to 22% for Dave Yost among the 76% of primary voters with

Methodology
WPAi conducted a poll of n = 600 likely Republican primary voters in Ohio. Data was collected January 28-30, 2025, by a
combination of live telephone interview and SMS-to-web surveys. Thirty-five percent (35%) of interviews were conducted
by live interview to cell phones, 30% by SMS-to-web to cell phone, and 35% by live interview to landline phones. The
sample was selected from the Ohio voter file and was stratified by geography, age, gender, educational attainment, and
primary vote history. The survey has a margin of error of +4.0% at the 95% confidence level.
