Due to a nationwide shortage of bus drivers, certain routes have been eliminated, affecting students' ability to get to school on time. This decision has sparked criticism from parents and community organizations, who question the fairness of the plan. Lyndon Pryor, CEO of the Louisville Urban League, voiced concerns about students losing choice and the district breaking its promise under the student assignment plan. Despite these concerns, board members Chris Kolb, Linda Duncan, James Craig, and Sarah McIntosh voted in favor, while Joe Marshall, Corrie Shull, and Gail Strange opposed the plan.
