Biden ‘disinfo’ czar Nina Jankowicz ripped over cringeworthy Mary Poppins TikTok

The person tapped to head President Biden’s new Big Brother-like disinformation board drew fresh disdain Friday over her flippant attitude toward misinformation — and her own history of spreading it.

Nina Jankowicz’s ability to be taken seriously in her role on Homeland Security’s new Orwellian “Disinformation Governance Board” was thrown into question after a cringeworthy TikTok video resurfaced of her adapting the Mary Poppins tune “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” to be about fake news.    

“Information laundering is really quite ferocious. It’s when a huckster takes some lies and makes them sound precocious, by saying them in Congress or a mainstream outlet, so disinformation’s origins are slightly less atrocious,” Jankowicz sang in the Feb. 2021 video.

“When Rudy Giuliani shared bad intel from Ukraine. Or when TikTok influencers say COVID can’t cause pain. They’re laundering disinfo and we really should take note. And not support their lies with our wallet, voice or vote,” she continued.

The bizarre rendition was shared widely online as critics raised doubts of her ability to target real disinformation — and questioned how she even landed the job given her previous dubious claims about the veracity of The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

“What the heck is going on here? This is an important board. Its job is to help deal with misinformation being fed into America by foreign actors, both state and non-state actors. And they put in charge of it a political hack,” longtime GOP adviser Karl Rove told Fox News.

“If you want to put somebody in charge of this, you better have somebody who is not known for being the Mary Poppins TikTok lookalike,but is actually a substantive, thoughtful person who can give the American people confidence when they speak out and say this is an effort by a foreign actor, state or non-state, to undermine confidence in American institutions.”

He added: “This woman has no ability to do that. None at all.”

Donald Trump Jr. led the criticism on social media of Jankowicz’s TikTok, tweeting sarcastically: “Seems like an obvious and respectable choice to head the Ministry of Truth. The adults are back in charge folks.”

OutKick founder Clay Travis added: “This is the new Biden administration head of Ministry of Truth … She is in charge of what’s truth and fiction in America. Every time you think the Biden administration can’t get more ridiculous.”

And RealClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan tweeted: “Wait, this is real? I thought it was a joke or a deep fake or something.”

Rudy Giuliani also weighed in slamming her as the “whack a doodle Biden put in charge of the Ministry of Truth.”

Author and Post columnist David Marcus also tweeted: “I’d like to apologize for this on behalf of all theater people.” 

Critics immediately slammed Jankowicz’s appointment to the board when it was first revealed Wednesday — pointing to her history of repeatedly casting doubt on The Post’s reporting of what has turned out to be the laptop from hell for the president.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the Biden administration’s decision to name her executive director was “not acceptable” and Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson earlier called her a “beacon of misinformation.”

But White House press secretary Jen Psaki defended Jankowicz’s appointment, insisting during a Friday press briefing that she has “extensive qualifications.”

Psaki, who a day earlier told reporters she wasn’t familiar with Jankowicz, rattled off the disinformation expert’s resume – but said “any hiring decisions are up to the Department of Homeland Security.”

Psaki also insisted the creation of the new board was a “continuation of work” that began under the Trump administration in 2020.

“For anyone who’s critical of it, I didn’t hear them being critical of the work under the former president,” Psaki said.
