Wednesday saw the biggest one-day loss in the value of bunds as far back as Bloomberg yield data goes.

The almost 30 bps move in bund yields on Wednesday was not the biggest, beaten by a rise of 34 bps in 1990, the year of German reunification. But yields were closer to 9% in the early 90s, and basis points were worth less in Deutschemark/euro terms.
