Updated Mar 24
A mineral deal which grants the United States access or rights to rare earth elements will qualify for a “Yes” resolution even if “rare earths” aren’t specifically named in the deal.
As of the time of this update, the US and Ukraine have not mutually agreed to a qualifying deal. It is too early to resolve this market.
Per the dispute process, this market will be decided by the UMA vote.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the United States and Ukraine agree to any deal between February 2 and March 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, that explicitly involves Ukrainian rare earth elements. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No".
This includes, but is not limited to, agreements related to the exchange of Ukrainian rare earths for U.S. aid (military or civilian), partnerships involving rare earth metals, future rights to rare earth resources, mining rights, or any other form of cooperation related to rare earth elements.
An announcement of a deal will qualify regardless of if/when the deal is enacted.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the governments of the US and Ukraine.
How was this resolved this way, I just came to this site interested in placing some bets. This bet that was resolved as yes obviously didn't happen... Polymarket should definitely take accountability for this result. This is the kind of thing that makes me think I should reconsider using this site.
Wow, and here's thel deal signed. The only funny thing is that it's already May 1st, not "before April". Polymarket scammed me out of $400 perfectly. Thx
UMA has been, and will continue to be a SCAM. The fact that Polymarket is unwilling to part ways with UMA speaks for itself. I'm winding down my portfolio in a month or 2.
Is it possible that Polymarket didn't cancel UMA vote because they knew that Altman would sell his UMA bag if they did ? Like, are they scared of him crashing the price? Very Beta if true..
UMA has been, and will continue to be a SCAM. The fact that Polymarket is unwilling to part ways with UMA speaks for itself. I'm winding down my portfolio and hopefully can fully exit by Trump's 100d.
