Shallotte police capture python loose around Chili’s

SHALLOTTE, N.C. (WECT) - A slippery situation unfolded outside a Chili’s when people discovered a python was on the loose.

Shallotte police officers responded to a call about a large snake in the area of the restaurant. Sgt. Baker captured the snake.

The department believes the python was someone’s pet and got loose.

According to NC. §14-417.1., pythons are legal as pets in North Carolina.
