Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang on Tuesday said Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign made a poor decision by not having her join Joe Rogan's podcast.

Rogan said last week he and Harris's campaign were in communication about a potential appearance on"The Joe Rogan Experience." The claim followed former President Donald Trump joining the podcast, with his episode drawing over 45 million YouTube views as of Tuesday.

Rogan claimed via X Harris's campaign had offered him a date for an interview that would have required him to travel to the vice president. The podcaster explained he felt "strongly" that Harris visit his Austin studio, as Trump had.

Harris ultimately did not appear on"The Joe Rogan Experience" ahead of Election Day. Yang, who ran for president in 2020, raised concerns with this outcome via X Tuesday.

"For the record no matter what happens tonight I think the Kamala Harris campaign badly mishandled the Joe Rogan interview by not doing it," he wrote. "Tim Walz would have been good too."

Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, Trump's running mate, also sat for an interview on the podcast, with his interview coming after Rogan publicly discussed his communications with Harris's campaign.

"To people on the left Joe Rogan reaches millions of low propensity male voters - kind of the exact population you should be trying to get in front of," Yang continued. "He is not a hostile interviewer - he’s curious and interested in why people believe what they do."

Rogan notably endorsed Trump for president on the eve of Election Day, with his announcement following the release of his podcast episode featuring X owner Elon Musk. The podcaster in an X post credited Musk with making "what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you'll hear" during the interview.

Harris last month joined "Call Her Daddy," another popular podcast. The episode, which centered largely around women's issues, has received over 792,000 YouTube views as of Tuesday.

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The National News Desk Tuesday.
