Teen killer who spent 30 years behind bars commits more sickening crimes just four months after prison release

A murderer who killed his mother and brother when he was 15 has killed two more people just four months after finishing his sentence, police say.

Dustin Caudill was 15 when he was arrested for the deaths of his mother Karen Caudill, 33, and younger brother Nicholas, 10, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, in 1994.

Police at the time said Caudill shot his brother after an argument. He then shot his mother dead when she got home later that night.

Caudill, now 43, was released in 2020 after serving 27 years in prison but was arrested again in 2023 for violating his parole.

Police now say that just four months after his release, Caudill murdered Blake France, 41, and Anthony Garret, 43, before burning down a home in Elizabethtown.

Witnesses said they saw a gold pickup truck leaving the murders scene which led them to Caudill.

The killer was found at a nearby motel and was seen getting rid of a gun, according to police.

Caudill 'specifically admitted to shooting the victims and intentionally setting fire to the residence,' according to Elizabethtown police spokesperson Chris Denham.

He also allegedly confessed to stealing the victims' wallets and throwing them away at a gas station, as well as trying to shoot a third person.

Caudill is charged with one count of arson to the first degree, two counts of murder, one count of tampering with physical evidence, one count of wanton endangerment to the first degree, one count of robbery to the first degree and one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Cops have yet to share a possible motive for the latest bloodbath.

Back in 1994, the killer claimed his mother smoked marijuana and beat him, adding his family was always 'jumping on him and beating on him,' as reported in local media at the time.

Caudill told police that on the night of the murders he 'just snapped.'

'We was playing some cards and we was talking and then he started acting stupid. He just started acting like a little brother,' the killer told police of the moments before he killed his little brother.

Caudhill was filmed being bundled into a police car as a baby-faced teenager. But he now has a terrifying array of face tattoos.
