Poll shows Democrats leading in New Hampshire congressional races
A new poll shows Democratic candidates continuing to lead the congressional races in New Hampshire.
The poll from the Saint Anselm College Survey Center shows incumbent U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas leading in the 1st District and Maggie Goodlander leading in the 2nd District.
The poll shows Pappas leading Republican challenger Russell Prescott among likely voters 50% to 43%.
Goodlander is leading Republican Lily Tang Williams 51% to 43%.
"In the two House races, we see that the Democrats are holding a lead," said Neil Levesque, of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. "In the generic ballot, which really tells you which way voters are going to go, Democrats maintain a two-point lead. It's shrunk slightly, which is interesting, but overall, Democrats are favored in this election."
The poll of 2,791 New Hampshire likely voters was conducted online on Oct. 28 and 29. The congressional district questions have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.6%.
