MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A man has been charged in connection to a Montgomery shooting that left one person injured.

Alberto Martinez-Fidel is accused of shooting a man Sunday morning, leaving him seriously injured, court documents say.

According to the documents, Martinez-Fidel shot the victim at close range with a handgun, hitting his buttocks and lower back.

Martinez-Fidel is charged with first-degree assault. He is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $30,000 bond.

No other details related to this shooting have been released.
