Sen. Nicole Mitchell's court hearing moved to Aug. 30 in Detroit Lakes

A court hearing has been moved to Aug. 30 for State Sen. Nicole Mitchell, charged with felony first-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into her stepmother’s home in Detroit Lakes.

DETROIT LAKES — A contested omnibus hearing for state Sen. Nicole Mitchell that was set for Tuesday has been moved to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 30 in Becker County District Court, after the defense asked for a continuance, according to the Becker County Court Administrator's Office.

Mitchell, of Woodbury, is charged with felony first-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into her stepmother’s home in Detroit Lakes in the early morning hours of April 22.
