I’d give it 100 stars but the packaging is problematic
I could be married to this sunscreen for life but that is not going to happen until they fix the problematic packaging. I decided to try this out, based on a recommendation from DrDray, because she recently made a video on the newly released Deep Tint version. I had never tried any Elta MD sunscreens before. But I had assumed this (regular) tinted version wouldn’t work for my skin tone. But I soon found out the deep tint is actually too dark for me when I use the appropriate amount. Turns out, this “regular” tint is perfect for me! And that doesn’t happen very often. It’s lightweight, spreads easily, and blends flawlessly into my skin. I usually go for mineral formulas but I’d make an exception for this. It doesn’t burn my eyes or cause blurry vision, and doesn’t irritate my oily skin. This has a skin-like finish. Consistency is thin and spreads easily. Formula is comfortable to wear, actually moisturizing, and doesn’t feel drying. Not greasy at all. Reapplying is a breeze when the pump works because sometimes it doesn’t. I keep wipes in the car to wipe off my fingers. The coverage is very sheer, not like Colorscience Flex which has more coverage and a higher price (but I also love). Some of my foundation colors in case it helps you with choosing a shade: Armani 7.8, ELDW Honey Bronze, KVD 063, MUFE 3N42, Haus Labs 330, Dior 4N, Nars Aruba. I use Tan in Colorscience Flex. I noticed many other reviewers have the same complaints about the faulty pump. The pump worked fine on my deep tint bottle. But this one took about 100 pumps, a prayer, and an unwavering spirit to get the very first drop out. Then it didn’t work when I tried to reapply 2 hours later. It’s working again, for now. But I’m concerned it will cause issues in the future. And this price tag is a lot to take a chance on it malfunctioning again in the future. I would not be happy if it breaks before I'm able to finish the bottle. I'm on the fence about exchanging it or returning it and waiting until the packaging changes. Edit to add: I decided to keep it because the formula is that good! And I haven’t had any further issues with the bottle.

    Best tinted sunscreen I've found! I'm very pale, so this makes me look "normal" and like I've gotten a little sun without making me appear orangey. It doesn't have fragrance, which I love. It's very lightweight, so don't expect it to be like foundation/concealer, but it does help to cover minor blemishes enough on my skin that I don't feel the need to wear makeup. I deeply appreciate the lightweight feel and non-greasy texture. I've tried several other tinted face sunscreens and they always make my face feel very greasy, almost always have an overpowering or just overly fake scent and make my skin break out. My dermatologist gave me samples of this to try and it's honestly hands down worth the pricetag. One negative is that it does have a very mildly gritty texture, but once my skin absorbs it, I don't notice it anymore.

    Great sunscreen! The tinted one looks a lot darker when I squeeze it out versus when I rub it onto my face. Very thin so a little goes a long way. Does not irritate my acne prone sensitive skin and gives a nice sheen when on. It doesn’t give a lot of redness coverage but I like the tint for the small amount that it does give.

    I have rosacea and an olive skin tone and live in the armpit of hell where it is more than 120 degrees for parts of the year and it is sunny more than 300 days of the year, so sunscreen is super important. This is my ride or die sunscreen that I use every day. I like the feel of the sunscreen when I put it on as it feel hydrating and I don't get the stinging in my cheeks like I do with a lot of other sunscreens. It does give off a dewy finish, so if you dislike that like I do, I top it off with a powder sunscreen. The tint is enough that I don't have a white case, though my skin tone is a medium tan.

    Learn from me and be careful, if you put it on your chest it can get on your clothes and it will stain. If you notice before you put in in the washing machine, makeup remover will be your best friend and you'll be able to get it out like it never happened. I was traveling when I messed up so I just had my little travel size thing of Farmacy's green clean and that worked like a charm. I also have used Lancome's bi-facil in a pinch. I hate mornings and don't pay enough attention.

    I will say that if you use makeup, that this can pill underneath it, so be careful.

    I have been using this product for a few years now, and it is a staple in my morning skincare routine. It was originally recommended to me by a dermatologist for my acne-prone skin. The tint provides a small amount of skin color correction (I have a fairly red complexion), but is by no means full coverage. It is a lightweight formula that also goes well under my makeup. I recommend waiting a few minutes after your last skincare product to dry before applying this sunscreen, as it can pill. I have also tried the non-tinted version of this but prefer the tinted one since the non-tinted one leaves a bit of a white cast.
