National Democrats pump last-minute money into big N.J. House race

In a sign the already close race is heating up, national Democrats have swooped in to pour last-minute money into a big New Jersey congressional battle that will help determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The campaign fund of House Democrats on Tuesday committed to spending about $4 million in the final two weeks of the election to boost Democrat Sue Altman’s bid to unseat freshman Republican Rep. Tom Kean Jr. and flip the state’s 7th Congressional District back to blue.
