Polls show Democratic senate candidate Colin Allred is neck and neck with Republican Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race. Like other Republican candidates, Cruz put out an ad attacking his Democratic opponent for supporting trans rights. Most Democratic candidates have ignored anti-trans attacks from Republicans, but unlike other Democrats, Allred decided to take the bait and released an ad backing down from his previous pro-trans position in response to Ted Cruz.
