Police make contact with 'Person of Interest' in death of teenage girl

SAN ANTONIO - A teenager was found deceased early Wednesday morning after going for a walk with a friend in her Northeast Side neighborhood.

A 17-year-old female went for a walk with her male friend around 11:30 Tuesday evening near the 7600 block of Del Oak Drive when her family became worried.

They confronted her friend, who claimed he did not know where she went. The family began searching themselves and called the San Antonio Police Department.

Upon arrival, an officer discovered a female's body underneath a bridge.
