One of three soldiers killed in Jordan drone attack from Waycross
WAYCROSS, Ga. (WTOC) - One of the three service members that were killed in a drone attack in Jordan on Sunday was from Waycross, according to the Pierce County manager.
Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders died in the attack on January 28th.
The mayor of Waycross says they will honor Specialist Sanders once her body is returned home.
In a statement, the White House said, “These service members embodied the very best of our nation: Unwavering in their bravery. Unflinching in their duty. Unbending in their commitment to our country— risking their own safety for the safety of their fellow Americans, and our allies and partners with whom we stand in the fight against terrorism. It is a fight we will not cease.”
Specialist Sanders’ family would like to thank everyone for the respect given to Kennedy.
