Man wanted after stabbing woman outside art gallery on Clark College campus
VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) - A woman was stabbed in the neck on Tuesday afternoon outside the Archer Gallery on the Clark College campus, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The campus was briefly placed into lockdown on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the victim was sitting outside between 4:41 p.m. and 5:25 p.m. when a man walked up to her, screaming and asking for help. In the moment, she thought he punched her, but then she saw blood and realized he’d stabbed her.
She was taken to the hospital where she is expected to recover from her injuries.

The main campus was placed into lockdown while police searched for the suspect, who was seen running past Water Works Park, away from campus. He has not yet been found.
During the investigation, police learned about another incident on Monday that happened in one of the college parking lots involving a man who matched the stabbing suspect description.
On Monday, a woman was sitting inside her car and an unknown man walked up to the driver’s door and tried to talk to her. The woman opened her door, and the man tried to pull it further open and get into the car. He ran away when the woman screamed. She reported the incident to Clark security.
Police said they encourage people to be careful when alone and to report suspicious behaviors to 911 immediately.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect:
- An East Asian or Middle Eastern man
- About 30 to 40 years old.
- Medium build and wearing a beard.
