NGO Claims Mexican Cartel Tied to Mercury Trafficking

A new report from the NGO Environment Investigation Agency (EIA) claims that Mexico’s Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) is trafficking mercury to South America for its use in gold refining. The report comes just weeks after suspected CJNG gunmen stole more than 33 tons of gold concentrate from a mining company along a highway in Jalisco.

A series of ongoing raids by Mexican authorities uncovered how Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) managed to quietly set up its fuel theft and smuggling operation throughout northern Mexico and South Texas. The new revelations come soon after Breitbart News Foundation reported how CJNG established a cell of gunmen in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila.

Trump’s Treasury Department Targets Mexican Cartels Trafficking Fentanyl, Stolen Fuel

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced financial sanctions on three Mexican nationals and two Mexico-based entities allegedly involved in a drug trafficking and fuel theft network linked to the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG). The sanctions have been coordinated through the Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in conjunction with multiple federal law enforcement agencies. The intent is to disrupt the CJNG cartel’s ability to continue reaping profits from fentanyl trafficking and large-scale fuel smuggling activities.

Mexican Cartels Unleash Fiery Terror in Three States During Turf War

A series of clashes involving the Foreign Terrorist Organization, Cartel Jalisco New Generation, brought three states to a standstill as gunmen carjacked dozens of buses and vehicles to set them on fire. The attacks created blockades along the main highways in the Mexican states of Michoacán, Jalisco, and Guanajuato. The violence spread to 29 municipalities.

U.S. Revokes Visas of Mexican Musicians Whose Show Praised Cartel Boss

Four members of a Mexican music group lost their work and tourist visas to the U.S. after they opened a show in Mexico praising and showing images of the leader of Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG). This cartel has been labeled as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Government. The musicians are also under investigation in Mexico for the charge of “crime apology or advocacy.”

Mexican Mayor Under Investigation Over City-Hosted Cartel Celebration

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced an open investigation by the country’s attorney general’s office against the mayor of Coalcoman, Michoacan, over a Christmas party. Government officials in attendance allegedly praised various drug kingpins from Cartel Jalisco New Generation for “their generosity” in giving a large number of gifts to local children.
