Trigger warning this post mentions (grape) I was adopted in 1999. By two of the best people i’ll ever know. Yes I am immensely lucky. That doesn't mean I don't have trauma from the situation. I want to share every single detail because I genuinely feel like it could help someone else. So I'II start with what I know from the beginning. This might be difficult for some people to hear so I wanted to add a trigger warning. I was conceived through grape. If you don't know what that means take away the g. I know abortion was on my mothers mind. I won't get into that though. She didn't want me in foster care because of her own personal struggles in the system. That I will always love her for. That's what allowed me to forgive her and mean it. She wanted to keep me as her own. But with three other kids it just wasn't good for her and it wasn't good for me. I lived with my mother for a couple months before she gave my parents the right to be my guardians until they could officially adopt me. Granted I don't know if she was trying to work on herself so she could keep me.
