MEMPHIS, Tenn. - An 18-year-old man who was arrested after a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in Binghampton Thanksgiving morning was released on his own recognizance on Monday, according to court records. 

Jail records show that 18-year-old Edion White was released on recognizance on Monday, November 27, just four days after 15-year-old Anthony Mason was shot and killed on Vandalia Street.

Police said that White was driving a car that pulled up to Vandalia Street around 2:15 a.m. that morning when Mason came out of a house to allegedly trade guns with White and 15-year-old Conner Tucker. 

After a struggle broke out over a gun, police said that Tucker shot Mason once in the head, killing the fellow 15-year-old.

Both Tucker and White, the alleged getaway driver, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted especially aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon.
