HERE BEHIND ME, THERE’S STILL SOME POLICE TAPE UP AND YOU CAN SEE SOME FLASHING LIGHTS IN THE BACK. POLICE HAVE NOT YET DISCUSSED A POSSIBLE MOTIVE FOR THIS SHOOTING, BUT SAY THE SITUATION WAS CONTAINED TO THE HOSPITAL LOBBY, WHICH IS OUTSIDE THE STATE HOSPITAL. ONE, SECURITY AFTER DOWN, ONE SHOOTER ON THE FIRST FLOOR. CHAOS UNFOLDING IN CONCORD AFTER AN ACTIVE SHOOTER OPENED FIRE IN THE LOBBY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE HOSPITAL, KILLING A SECURITY OFFICER. THE CALL FOR HELP CAME IN JUST BEFORE 340 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. A NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE TROOPER QUICKLY █JUMPING INTO ACTION, SHOOTING AND KILLING THE SUSPECT. OFFICIALS HAVE IDENTIFIED THE SECURITY OFFICER WHO DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY AS 63 YEAR OLD BRADLEY HAAS. HAAS HAD PREVIOUSLY SERVED AS THE FRANKLIN POLICE CHIEF, WORKING WITH THAT DEPARTMENT FOR 28 YEARS. AND BEFORE THAT, HAAS SERVED THREE YEARS AS A MILITARY POLICE OFFICER WITH THE ARMY. THE VICTIM WAS ADMINISTERED CPR ON SITE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE CONCORD HOSPITAL UNTIL, FORTUNATELY, THAT INDIVIDUAL IS NOW DECEASED. NO PATIENTS WERE INJURED DURING THE SHOOTING. A POLICE ACADEMY GRADUATION WAS HAPPENING NEAR THE HOSPITAL WHEN IT ALL HAPPENED AND ADDITIONAL TROOPERS IMMEDIATELY RUSHED TO THE SCENE TO GET THE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL. THERE WAS A VERY QUICK RESPONSE OTHER THAN THE TROOPER BEING ON SCENE WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED. ADDITIONAL TROOPERS WERE HERE WITHIN MINUTES. A BOX TRUCK NEAR THE SHOOTING SCENE WAS EXAMINED BY THE STATE POLICE BOMB SQUAD. Investigators have identified a man suspected of shooting and killing a security officer Friday at New Hampshire Hospital and released autopsy results for both men.Attorney General John Formella said John Madore, 33, shot and killed Bradley Haas, 63, of Franklin, who previously served as chief of police in Franklin and was working as a security officer for the hospital.Formella said a New Hampshire state trooper quickly responded to the report of a shooting and shot and killed Madore. The trooper's name has not been released as the investigation continues.According to the autopsy report released Saturday evening, officials confirmed multiple gunshot wounds was the cause of Haas's death. Officials also said Madore's cause of death was due to multiple gunshot wounds. Both have been ruled homicides.
