Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations ripped the far-left ā€œSquadā€ in Congress for their refusal to condemn Hamas.

ā€œThey are motivated by hate toward Israel and political interests here,ā€ Gilad Erdan said Friday from his office at the Israeli consulate in New York City. ā€œI think some of them suffer from ignorance regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.ā€

Erdan said he was not talking about all progressive House Democrats, limiting his remarks to the most radical charter members: Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) and Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez (D-NY)

ā€œMuslim countries who are butchering or committing massacres against their own people, hundreds of thousands of Muslims are being executed or killed and murdered by their regimes. I never saw these members of Congress campaigning against them. I just see them campaigning against one of the closest allies of the United States,ā€ Erdan continued.

AOC, Tlaib, Omar, and other progressives voted against a House resolution condemning Hamas — which passed the chamber overwhelmingly last week.

Fliers with images of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas that were posted outside her office have been ripped down.

Erdan said it was ā€œappallingā€ that a majority of Muslim Americans found Hamas terrorism against Israel ā€œjustified.ā€

ā€œI think every American should be frightened, should be scared because the people who can support the massacre of, the beheading of, babies and burning people alive are people that might also behave violently here,ā€ Erdan warned.

Erdan has served as Israel’s man at the United Nations for more than three years, but he has little love for the institution.

Since the Oct. 7 carnage, the UN has called for a ceasefire but refused to condemn Hamas.

ā€œLooking at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the UN is destructive. The UN has [made] an enormous contribution to perpetuating the conflict. The UN is responsible for a lot of blood that was shed in our region,ā€ he said.

Erdan, echoing his bosses back in Jerusalem, said there was no ceasefire in the cards until Hamas was destroyed.

ā€œA ceasefire? The meaning of a ceasefire is tying Israel’s hands from preventing these atrocities from happening again,ā€ he said.
