Firearms

License to Carry (LTC) Firearms 

A License to Carry (LTC) or Firearm Identification (FID) Card is required to possess or carry firearms in Massachusetts, unless otherwise exempt.

A Firearm Identification (FID) Card is required to possess firearms in Massachusetts, unless otherwise exempt.

Non-Resident License to Carry (LTC) Firearms 
Resident Alien Permit to Possess Rifles and Shotguns 

Chapter 284 of the Acts of 2014

An Act Relative to the Reduction of Gun Violence 

In August of 2014, Chapter 284 of the Acts of 2014 was signed into law. This action amended the Massachusetts gun law and made changes to many of the law's provisions.
