Agents with the U.S. Border Patrol rescued 12 migrants from a stash house in east El Paso on Tuesday.

Agents were notified of the stash house on North Zaragoza Road and Joe Battle Boulevard.

When agents arrived they found the 12 migrants who were from Mexico.

All migrants were medically checked and found to be in good health.

Seven migrants volunteered to be returned to Mexico, one migrant was processed for expedited removal and three other migrants were deported under Title 8.

During the 2023 fiscal year border patrol agents have discovered 281 stash houses with3,655 smuggled migrants, many from deplorable conditions in the El Paso sector.

The U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector encourages the public to report suspicious activity related to migrant smuggling by making an anonymous call to 1-800-XSECTOR.”
