Gallant: IDF will supply weapons to Gaza border communities

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Sunday instructed the supply of weapons to communities that are near the Gaza border, according to Israeli media, as well as to an IDF officer's team all of the mayors and councils in the Gaza envelope to manage the situation.

Gallant directed the institution to supply arms and munitions to communities near the security fence. He also called for the appointment of an IDF representative to collaborate closely with each municipal head and local leader in the area surrounding the Gaza border.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir instructed the Firearms Licensing Division to allow any citizen who passes the firearms carrying test and does not have a criminal or medical record, can undergo a telephone interview instead of going to a physical location and receive approval within a week, according to Kan.
