Hollywood in 2023 was marked by months of labor unrest. But the post-strike landscape that actors and writers have come back to is far from happily-ever-after. The film and television industry could rightly celebrate the conclusion of a bruising, protracted work stoppage that began in May. But as actors have swapped their picket signs for auditions and call sheets, they are returning to an industry still in the midst of painful transformation and streaming upheaval. (Dec. 7)
