Amazon to kick off '12 days of deals' this Sunday

After logging the single biggest shopping day in its history on Cyber Monday, Amazon is not slowing down on the deal front.

The online retail giant just announced a "12 Days of Deals" promotion, which kicks off this Sunday, Dec. 2. Amazon is promising "hundreds of new deals" every day through Dec. 13.

Here's how it'll go down: The deals will go live daily at midnight PT, and each day of the promotion will have a different theme. If you're on the hunt for affordable tech, you'll want to make a note to check Amazon's 12 Days of Deals page on Dec. 3 for gaming deals, Dec. 5 for PC markdowns, Dec. 8 for discounted cameras (plus stuff for babies and pets), and Dec. 10 for sales on electronics.

Other deal day themes include: home improvement (Dec. 2); toys (Dec. 4); home (Dec. 6); fashion (Dec. 7); beauty and personal care (Dec. 9); kitchen (Dec. 11); furniture, lawn, and garden (Dec. 12); and sports and outdoor (Dec. 13). The Web giant will also give you $12 off your first Amazon Restaurants delivery order with any 12 Days of Deals purchase.

Meanwhile, if you're eager to see the new Aquaman movie and also happen to be an Amazon Prime member, we have some good news. Amazon today confirmed rumors that select movie theaters will be holding early showings of the superhero flick exclusively for Prime members on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. local time – nearly a week before its official nationwide release. Prime members can head here to purchase tickets.
